Welcome in Sarria
A relaxed arrival, a personal welcome and a route briefing before you begin your Camino.
Sarria — Portomarín
22 kmThe Camino begins along country lanes, ancient oak forests and traditional stone villages. The final descent reveals one of the route's finest views: Portomarín overlooking the Belesar Reservoir, a village rebuilt stone by stone in the 1960s.
Portomarín — Palas de Rei
25 kmOpen landscapes and the true rhythm of the Camino. The 17th-century Lameiros wayside cross and the Romanesque church of Vilar de Donas are highlights of a stage through the heart of rural Galicia.
Palas de Rei — Melide
15 kmA comfortable stage through forests and centuries of tradition. Arriving in Melide brings one of the French Camino's greatest culinary moments: authentic pulpo á feira served in traditional octopus taverns that have welcomed pilgrims for decades.
Melide — Arzúa
14 kmA gentle day among oak woods, medieval bridges and the beautiful Iso River valley. In Arzúa, the French Camino meets the Northern Camino. The local PDO cheese provides the perfect ending to the stage.
Arzúa — O Pedrouzo
19 kmThe Camino continues through native woodland and peaceful rural parishes. A restorative stage before the final day, designed to help you reach Santiago feeling refreshed.
O Pedrouzo — Santiago
20 kmThe final kilometres. Climb to Monte do Gozo for your first view of the Cathedral towers, then enter Santiago through Rúa de San Pedro before arriving at the Plaza del Obradoiro and the Cathedral.

Welcome in Baiona
Arrive by the Atlantic, with the walls of Monte Real Castle as your backdrop. A personal route briefing, your first night by the ocean and free time to explore the historic old town.
Baiona — Vigo
25 kmA coastal stage featuring Atlantic beaches, viewpoints overlooking the Cíes Islands and charming fishing towns. The Camino follows the estuary through Panxón and Bouzas before entering Vigo via the Basilica of Santa María. Visually, one of the most spectacular stages of the route.
Vigo — Redondela
16 kmLeaving the city behind, the Camino follows the estuary inland. In Arcade, fresh oysters are a must. The impressive Rande Bridge dominates the skyline before arriving in Redondela, where the Portuguese Coastal Camino joins the Central Portuguese Camino.
Redondela — Pontevedra
20 kmChestnut forests, the Roman Bridge of Sampaio and peaceful villages lead the way to Pontevedra. One of Galicia's best-preserved historic cities, with the Church of the Pilgrim Virgin marking your arrival.
Pontevedra — Caldas de Reis
21 kmA peaceful stage through country lanes, Albariño vineyards and the Galician countryside. Caldas de Reis welcomes pilgrims with its famous thermal waters—the perfect reward after twenty kilometres on foot.
Caldas de Reis — Padrón
18 kmA gentle stage through woodland, rivers and Jacobean heritage. Arrival in Padrón brings one of the Camino's most symbolic landmarks: the Church of Santiago, where tradition says the Apostle's boat was moored.
Padrón — Santiago
25 kmThe final stage. The Camino crosses the lands of Rosalía de Castro through Iria Flavia, A Escravitude and the Pazo de Faramello before reaching Santiago. The excitement builds with every kilometre. Plaza del Obradoiro awaits at the end of Rúa do Franco.

A relaxed breakfast, time to enjoy Santiago and a personalised farewell to complete your experience.

Welcome in Ferrol
Arrive in the city where the Atlantic meets Galicia's naval history. Spend your first night in Ferrol and enjoy free time to explore the Arsenal and the 18th-century docks—the very harbour from which medieval Anglo-Saxon pilgrims once set sail.
Ferrol — Neda
15 kmThe Camino begins alongside the Ferrol estuary, surrounded by maritime scenery and historic architecture. Pass the Monastery of San Martiño de Xubia before reaching Neda, your first stop on Galician soil.
Neda — Pontedeume
16 kmA gentle stage through seaside towns and peaceful paths. Arrival in Pontedeume rewards pilgrims with the Andrade Tower, the medieval bridge over the River Eume and one of the best-preserved historic centres along the English Camino.
Pontedeume — Betanzos
21 kmWoodlands, gentle climbs and quiet villages lead to Betanzos, the capital of Galician Gothic architecture. The Church of San Francisco houses 15th-century frescoes and the tomb of Fernán Pérez de Andrade—the same nobleman whose tower you left behind earlier. Betanzos' famous Spanish omelette is an essential stop before dinner.
Betanzos — Hospital de Bruma
28 kmThe most demanding—and most authentic—stage of the route. Pure inland Galicia: ancient stone crosses, the Beche Reservoir, dense native forests and very few pilgrims. Here, silence becomes the defining landscape.
Hospital de Bruma — Sigüeiro
24 kmA peaceful transition towards Santiago through country lanes, cornfields and small rural parishes. The Camino becomes gentler, and so does the pace—a perfect day to walk without rushing before the final stage.
Sigüeiro — Santiago
16 kmThe final kilometres of the English Camino. The Enchanted Forest, the Convent of Santa Clara and the Monastery of San Martiño Pinario lead the way before entering Plaza del Obradoiro from the northern side. The emotion arrives even before the Cathedral towers come into view.
Farewell in Santiago
A relaxed breakfast, time to enjoy Santiago and a personalised farewell to complete your experience.
What's included
Fewer days. More Camino.
The English Camino is perfect for travellers who want to experience the essence of the Camino, combining history, comfort and an unforgettable arrival in Santiago.

Stages
The journey day by day
Welcome in Santiago
Arrive at the place where every ending begins. Spend your first night in Santiago and enjoy free time to visit the Cathedral before the Camino takes a different direction—towards the Atlantic.
Santiago — Negreira
21 kmThe Camino leaves the city behind through oak forests and peaceful villages. Ponte Maceira, one of Galicia's best-preserved medieval bridges, is the highlight of the day before reaching Negreira.
Negreira — Olveiroa
33 kmThe longest and most secluded stage of the entire route. Granaries, country lanes, timeless villages and wide-open landscapes define the day. The support vehicle has scheduled meeting points for anyone who wishes to shorten part of the stage. Here, silence becomes the true landscape.
Olveiroa — Cee
19 kmThe route's turning point. Halfway through the stage, everything changes: dense green countryside gives way to Atlantic winds, and the scent of the sea arrives before the ocean comes into view. The descent towards the Corcubión Estuary marks your first real encounter with the Atlantic.
Cee — Finisterre
15 kmA coastal stage alongside Langosteira Beach before reaching the town of Finisterre. The final kilometres to the lighthouse are the emotional heart of the journey and deserve to be walked slowly.
Finisterre — Muxía
29 kmWild coastline, dramatic cliffs and the Atlantic as your constant companion. Arrival at the Sanctuary of Virxe da Barca in Muxía completes the Camino with a meaning different from Finisterre—not the end of the world, but the place where tradition says the Virgin arrived in a stone boat. Two destinations, two meanings, one ocean.
Farewell or private transfer
